The Goose Is Getting Fat… (Gift Ideas…)

As the Holidays loom ever closer, many of us are racking our brains for ideas to gift to friends, family, coworkers, etc. I’ll be posting ideas for the next few days… I hope you find something useful here!

Last year I gave my closest girlfriends a sampler of my favorite beauty products of the moment:

  1. Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate is soothing and smells amazing. I use it on my chapped hands in winter too, it soaks in after just a few minutes and it’s worth the wait for the super-hydrating but light feel. It only takes a few drops!
  2. Bare Minerals Flawless Definition Volumizing Mascara is one of my favorites. Granted, I have more mascaras than any 4 women need, but I always come back to this one! It really does make my lashes appear fuller, and it’s not as damaging as some others I’ve tried.
  3. Urban Decay Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Color (in Crush) is like a crayon for the lips. I absolutely adore this product. It’s a bit waxy, but it goes on so easily, no need to line lips, lasts relatively well (you will need to reapply so put it in your bag if you’re heading out) and the colors are amazingly rich.

What are your favorite products right now? Maybe pick a few and tie them up with a bow to share with your favorite girlfriends.

Or share that book you’ve loved since you were 17, your favorite photo of her (or the 2 of you) in a frame, or that pair of earrings she loved but didn’t buy when you were at your favorite boutique together…

What is the best gift you ever received from a girlfriend?

I’m a pragmatic romantic who finds myself decorating things, places, friends and inevitably myself. I love color, texture, and shiny things. I’m a talker. I’ve been an avid traveler and the giver of travel, dating, and fashion advice to my circle of friends for 2 decades. My goals are conversation, creativity, connectedness, exploration, and finding beauty to appreciate. Posts go up a couple times a week. Drop by, leave a comment, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
